Cursed Patch
Patch
Mark a bed cursed for a weirder harvest. October steps a little faster while any bed is cursed. Ordinary beds stay safe. The curse sits on the dirt you mark.
Heavy seed takes its time in the dirt. The lanterns fetch more at the stall.

Carve and sell
Carve takes a couple of breaths, not coins. Cute pays 8; Unsettled pays 11. Carve takes the selected barn gourd (Parent A), or the oldest if none is selected. Sell a lantern to fill the purse.
Workbench idle
The knife keeps the faces you have written. Cute and Unsettled stay on the bench.

Harvest and parents
Today's harvests are Field Gourds. From Day 6 they come in as Side-Eye; Day 12 is Pupil Patch; Day 14 Porch Watch; Day 16 Hollow Vine. Crossing mutates further.
Carve uses Parent A if one is selected; otherwise the oldest gourd in the barn. Parent B is breed-only.

Late watch: Porch Watch (Day 14), Hollow Vine (Day 16). See you next October opens Day 18.

Three nails on the barn wall. Pin a gourd you want to remember. They stay when October turns. Wipe the patch and they go.
Last cross
Cold cellar · 0 / 0
Deep cellar (October frost) opens a shelf. Hold a ripe for 2 coins, or chill a seed. They wait here — across days, and across Octobers. Draw them when you want them back. The cold keeps what you set down.
Known crosses · 0 / 8
Pages the barn keeps. A name or combo writes a page once. Unread pages stay hint-only. October holds the same book.
Porch plaques · 0 / 8
Feats the porch hung. A plaque goes up once. Locked nails stay hint-only. October holds the same wall.
Bloodlines · 0 / 3
Named lines the barn keeps across crossings — a child, then a later grandchild-style step. October holds the same lines.

This October's tools
Coin tools for this October — they go when the season turns. Frost is only for the October tree. The cold cellar is frost — October tree, then the Barn. Hired hands change who plants, carves, and sells. They work in pairs: farmhand + hand basket; sower + seed loft; whittler + market stall; night bench + night wick. Heavy seed and Loft rail stay when October turns. Your own hands still work after you hire help.

October
Available at Day 18, last night of the late watch. Pupils arrive Day 12; the porch stays lit through Day 17. The season turns: plots, day, and this October's goods go. Each October earns frost and +1 starter seed — the seed bonus stays even after you spend frost. Unused frost already sits in the tin; leave 3 or more unspent and the porch leaves one extra seed next October. Return / Last Night rites raise frost earned. The frost tree lasts. After Last Night, frost finds a second tree — a later one once those keeps are yours, then a still later one once the later four are kept. The Hollow ledger is kept across years — rites take multiple Octobers, not one frost spend.
A harder October
Pick one for next October. It lasts that year only — See you next October puts the patch back to ordinary unless you pick again. A year you choose to make thinner. Later years wait until you sit a framed October through, or spend frost on the tree.
Named nights
Four porch days each October — First frost, Half-October, Pupils' eve, Hollow eve. They sit on the calendar. The porch names them as they arrive.
This October
Year-bound errands — one to follow, one beside it. They refresh when the season turns. The catalog chase stays across years.
Long watch
Time on the porch — sitting here and a little while you're away. A sit is about an hour. A week of watches is eight hours across visits. The Hollow ledger still counts Octobers, not minutes.
Frost tree
Spend frost on keeps that last. Deep cellar opens a cold shelf in the Barn; Colder shelves adds a second. Cost and whether it's yours are on each card. These stay when October turns; the shed does not.
After the vigil
Last Night is kept. Spend frost on late keeps — the porch, the barn, the crossings, the year's errands. Later keeps wait until these four are yours. Same cards as the frost tree. These stay when October turns.
Hollow ledger
A vigil across Octobers. Frost buys this-year speed; these vows are kept over years. This October's barn ledger still clears when the season turns.

Kept across Octobers. No extra coins or frost — just the porch remembering what you did.
How the patch works
Days pass while you sit the porch — a new day every few breaths.
Grow pumpkins. Carve them. Sell them. Breed weirder ones. Day 1 is still a cute farm.
Planting costs 1 seed (5 free to start). Growth and carving take their own time. Harvest today yields a Field Gourd and the seed back. From Day 6 harvests are Side-Eye; Day 12 is Pupil Patch; Days 14 and 16 are Porch Watch and Hollow Vine. See you next October opens at Day 18.
